Hi there! I’m William, a senior in high school with a budding passion for data science. My journey into this fascinating field started in an unconventional way—while watching the movie “Moneyball.” The story of how data-driven strategies revolutionized baseball intrigued me, and I realized the immense potential of data science in solving real-world problems.
Currently, I’m diving deeper into this exciting world by taking the AP Computer Science Principles course. Through this course, I’ve started to learn how to code, with Python as my first programming language.
Another aspect that drives my passion for data science is my love for helping friends with their schoolwork. On my journey to learn data science, I plan to make use of educational datasets on Kaggle.com to create projects that can assist students in their studies.
Balancing academics with athletics, I also play varsity soccer. The discipline and teamwork from sports have helped shape my approach to learning and problem-solving in data science. Whether I’m on the soccer field or in the computer lab, I’m always eager to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges.
